(Apologies if you have had difficulty getting through to us on the phone recently - the demand for stoves nationally this autumn is unprecedented in the almost 26 years we have been in business, such that the whole woodburning stove industry is struggling to cope. Our showroom is extremely busy all day, the phone never stops ringing, and we are being literally swamped with answerphone messages, which we are finding almost impossible to reply to during business hours. Coalwood Heating Centre, based just off the M60 in Stockport, was established in 1982 by owner/manager/installer Keith Williams, originally as a family business, but from November 2007, as a result of our ever increasing sales turnover, our accountants recommended a change of status to Coalwood Heating Centre Ltd., which is how we are now known.

We have possibly the largest display of just stoves in the Greater Manchester/North Cheshire/High Peak areas, with usually around 35 models on show, of which several are in working order, plus ample stocks of our more popular stoves.

Unlike some in the woodburning/multifuel field, who sell stoves as a sideline to another business, we are a dedicated, full-time, stove outlet, offering, if required, a full professional in-house installation service and on-site after-sales service to customers who buy their stoves from us, to which end we are HETAS-registered (No.1222 and 10532) for woodburning/solid fuel installation - please feel free to check us out on their web site -  consequently, we can
talk to you on as simple or as technical level as you may wish.

However, due to the historically modest number of gas installations we have been asked to undertake, and to the huge and and ever increasing cost of maintaining CORGI-registration, we no longer offer a gas stove installation service ourselves; but, depending on area, we can usually introduce you to an installer reasonably local to you.
